Orsino privacy policy
Last updated 12 October 2026 · Türkçe
Orsino is a gym coach app for iPhone. This page says what data Orsino keeps, where, and why. Orsino has no ads, no tracking and no analytics tools, and never sells data.
On your iPhone
- Your chat with the coach is stored only on your iPhone. Your workouts, your plan, your custom workouts and custom exercises are stored on your iPhone, with a copy on our server (see below). All of it is part of your iPhone backup if you use one.
- With your permission, Orsino reads sleep, heart rate variability and resting heart rate from Apple Health, and can save finished workouts to Apple Health. You can change this in the Health app at any time.
- Body weight and body fat you log, and those Apple Health already has, are shown in the app. What you log is saved on your iPhone and, with your permission, to Apple Health. While Apple Health is on in Orsino, your messages also carry a short summary for the coach: your latest weight, its change over 4 weeks and your latest body fat (see below). Progress photos you add are stored only on your iPhone and are never sent.
- You can export all your sets as a CSV file from the You tab.
On our server
When you sign in with Apple, our server keeps:
- Your Apple user ID (not your name or email) and an encrypted Apple token, used only to revoke the sign-in when you delete your account.
- Your training profile: the name you want the coach to use, your age range and gender if you gave them (you can skip both), goal, experience, days per week, session length, equipment, a muscle group to focus on, your cardio choice and the notes you gave. Age range and gender are used only to pick starting weights.
- Short notes the coach keeps to personalize your training, for example an injury, a preferred exercise or a busy week. Notes about injuries, pain or illness are kept only while Apple Health is on in Orsino (on the setup card or in You). To get a copy of your notes or have them deleted, write to us at the address below.
- Your best set for each exercise, so the coach can see your progress.
- A copy of your finished workouts: exercises, sets, weights, reps, times and workout notes. The coach looks up older training in it, and you get your workouts back when you sign in on a new iPhone.
- How many messages you sent each day and what they cost, to keep an eye on costs and stop misuse.
- Replies you reported (see below).
- A copy of your plan (this week's and next week's sessions), your custom workouts and your custom exercises, so they come back when you sign in on a new iPhone.
- Your settings: units, the coach style you picked, the app's language and your time zone.
- The app version you last used and the last day you opened the app, to know which versions are still in use.
- Which version of this policy you signed in under and when, and when you last turned the coach's health notes on or off.
The database is hosted by Cloudflare in the European Union.
When you message the coach
Each message is sent with the recent chat, this week's and next week's plan, your recent sets, whether a workout is in progress and its exercises with how many sets are done, the app's language, and, while Apple Health is on in Orsino, last night's recovery numbers and your weight summary (latest weight, its change over 4 weeks and body fat). The server passes these on to the coach and does not store them. Our server adds your profile, the coach's notes and best lifts. When you ask about older training, the coach can also look up past workouts from your copy on the server. During the first questions, your name and each answer (not your age or gender) are sent the same way, so the coach can word its next question. Then the server:
- sends them through OpenRouter to the AI model that writes the reply. Orsino asks OpenRouter to use only model providers that keep no data from the request (zero data retention);
- sends your profile, your recent messages, this week's plan, the exercises of your last workout and last night's recovery to Jev, a model by TypeSafe reached through OpenRouter. Jev picks the coach's tone and emoji reactions, checks that a message is about training and written in English or Turkish, and decides whether the coach says something when you open the app.
The server does not keep the chat after the reply is sent. Its logs record timings, token counts and costs for each message, but never the message text, the coach's notes or health numbers. Logs are kept for 7 days.
Reporting a reply
If a reply from the coach is wrong or unhelpful, you can press and hold it and tap Report This Reply. When you tap Send, and only then, Orsino sends us that one message of yours, the coach's reply and cards, the reason you picked, your note if you wrote one, and the app version. We read reports to fix the coach. Reports are deleted after 30 days, or earlier when you delete your account.
Service providers
- Apple: Sign in with Apple and Apple Health.
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and logs.
- OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to: writing the coach's replies.
- TypeSafe: Jev, through OpenRouter.
Deleting your data
You, Delete account removes your account, profile, settings, the coach's notes, best lifts, workouts, plan, custom workouts and exercises, usage and reports from our server and revokes the Apple sign-in. Deleting the app removes the data on your iPhone.
Health information
Apple Health data is used only to coach you. It is never used for advertising and never sold. The coach gives training advice, not medical advice.
Children
Orsino is not meant for children under 16.
